Dance Of The Almeh is the anual student recital that I produced at the Provincial Museum Auditorium for several years before moving to the John L. Haar Theatre. The word 'Almeh' means 'A Learned Woman' in Arabic, and as these students are becoming learned in the dance form, I thought it would be a great name for the recital. 'Dance Of The Almeh' is also the name of one of my favourite Orientalist Paintings.
